Greetings from Grand Rapids

  • Grand Rapids Community

    • Opening Year: 2026
    • Brief Info: We find ourselves stepping into a sacred moment as three parishes the Shrine of St. Francis Xavier and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Saint Dominic, and Our Lady of Sorrows are merging into one faith community. We are arriving right in the middle of this unfolding story.

In this multicultural parish, which is in a process of merging and restructuring, we see creative possibilities everywhere. We come not with ready-made solutions, but with open hearts, ready to listen, to learn the customs and stories of the people, and to discover how the Spirit is already moving among them. We expect to receive far more than we give, to be transformed by the faith and resilience of those we serve. Whether the ministry feels familiar or entirely new, we commit to the humble work of presence: seeing, listening, and responding gently to the needs that emerge.
